 Natefest 2006 will be held at the Environmental Learning Center in Moran State Park on Orcas Island. This will be the fifth time we've held Natefest at a Washington State Park facility...the experiences keep getting better. Getting to Orcas Island is an adventure in itself.  Like many of the State Park Environmental Learning Centers, Moran's facilities include shared sleeping dorms that are well heated. The main Natefest building is a rustic lodge with wood burning stove and a commercial-grade kitchen. Meals will be served family-style and will contain nutrients. Snacks and treats will always be available and the adult beverages shall never go empty. No need to turn water into wine! New Year's Eve will also feature the return of the much talked about - Feuerzangenbowle! Be sure to note your dietary restrictions when you register and also let me know if you have any needs that need special accommodations. Snorer may be banished to a special circle of Hell! Sadly, pets aren't allowed in the park buildings. Smoking isn't allowed and neither are firearms. However, you can eat meat on Friday and you are encouraged to covet thy neighbor's biscuits and gravy. |
